Presentations available from September 2013 methods conference

Speakers’ presentations from September’s “Critical Reflections on Methodology and Technology” conference are now available for anyone to download. The event examined three emerging areas of research practice which are now at the point of passing into the mainstream, with speakers addressing the experiences as well as subsequent developments in each of the three chosen topic areas: gamification, data visualisation and text analysis.

ASC will be publishing a volume of written papers from the conference later in 2013.

Hi. More than a bit disappointed that 2 of the papers (including one of the MOST interesting) are not available as downloads. Having been told not to take notes during the presentations as papers would be available, I am now left with no reminders as to what the content of those papers were (so much info in one day does make everything mash up a bit!). Perhaps next time, let us know what papers will be available and what won’t, so we can choose whether or not to take notes. Or perhaps there is another way to get hold of those papers now? Yours, just a little bit miffed. Myrna Jones

Myrna – thanks for your comment, We are still working on making those available. Presenters sometimes want to make minor amendments before publishing, such as to remove images or content they don’t have consent to put on the internet, and this is the situation here. I’m hopeful we will get them to you still..
