An Open and Shut Case;
Using triple-s with the TGI – Case Study

Mark Pietronave & Marc Van Lohuizen – BMRB,
Steve Jenkins – Mercator Research Group

TGI (Target Group Index) is a fast growing international network of single source market research surveys providing invaluable product brand, media and attitudinal data in 38 countries around the world. The project is demanding in both its size and complexity.

PTK is a software program written specifically for the TGI project by BMRB. Its purpose is to manage the metadata with full collating, cleaning and analysis capabilities. PTK does not include specific data entry functionality and this is where triple-s comes into its own. Partner operations in any of the 38 target countries key in respondent replies, sending the resultant respondent data and metadata files back to BMRB processing centres as triple-s files.
